Stores Person opportunity
McLaren Tractors are a successful family business located in Dingwall, Ross-shire. We are looking to recruit an experienced Stores Person for our busy depot. Our main franchises are: McCormick, McHale and Polaris.
The successful candidate must be an enthusiastic hard-working individual with good attention to detail. Knowledge of agricultural, plant machinery or automotive parts would be an advantage.
The successful candidate should have excellent customer and commercial awareness, be organised, and have relevant IT skills. Enjoy working as part of a team of dedicated staff and be able to work on their own initiative.

Essentials:
- Parts Management experience
- A good standard of education relevant to the position.
- Understanding of agricultural, plant and/or automotive parts.
- Confident in liaising with internal and external customers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Current driving licence.
- Administrative and finance background.
IT skills (software = Ibcos) – training will be given.

Agricultural/Plant service Engineer
Our busy team requires an Engineer for the service and repair of Agricultural/ Plant machinery, in Dingwall, with work on site and on the farm. McLaren Tractors main franchises are McCormick Tractors, Polaris ATVs and McHale Grassland machinery. They also sell their own brands, Highland Machinery and MTL.
Our customers are primarily involved in agriculture and are spread across the Highlands and Islands, but we do have customers further afield. We deal with different types and sizes of agricultural businesses, sporting estates, charities, defence, the public sector, builders, contractors to name but a few.
Main duties will include:
- Service and repair of Agricultural/ Plant machinery on site and on the farm.
- Assembly and PDI of new machinery.
- Diagnose problems accurately and repair faults.
- Problem solving using manufacturer’s computer software.
- The ability to work within health & safety regulations within an agricultural dealer environment.
- Attend relevant manufacturer’s training courses.
Applicants must be enthusiastic, hardworking and have the ability to work well in a team whilst completing their work to the highest standard possible.
Essential Skills & Knowledge
- Previous experience in Agricultural/Plant machinery.
- Ability to deliver high quality standards of workmanship.
- Meticulous and hard working.
- An understanding of Agricultural/Plant machinery.
- Good working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
- The ability to work as a team or individually.
- A good understanding of IT skills. Self-motivated with strong organisational skills and ability to set own diary
Full Time position
39 hrs/week Mon-Thu 8am – 5pm, Fri 8am – 4pm
Salary range: £28,000 – £32,000 per annum
